It has come to our attention that Mr Clever Mpoha, a Director and Shareholder of the Savenda group in Zambia has been arrested following allegations of corrupt practices.

InfraCo Africa, part of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), recently signed an agreement with Savenda Global Capital Partners Ltd committing US$2 million towards construction of the ZAMBIAFresh Lusaka Market. However, InfraCo Africa has not disbursed any funds. We are considering the news and reviewing any potential implications for the ZAMBIAFresh project.

In line with the PIDG Anti-corruption and Integrity Operating Policy, we thoroughly investigate all instances of suspected integrity violations and, where appropriate, refer these to the relevant authorities with which we will fully cooperate in order to address any violation.
