Casablanca, Morocco: InfraCo Africa, part of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), has announced that it is opening a new office in Casablanca. The excellent transport links and professional networks offered by the Moroccan city will support the company as it establishes a permanent base for its operations in West and Central Africa.

“We are excited to be establishing a PIDG office in Casablanca.” said InfraCo Africa’s Chief Operating Officer, Elizabeth Hipwell, “InfraCo Africa has been operating out of Nairobi for several years now and we have seen the difference that being close to our projects and partners can make, the time is now right to bring that same focus to West and Central Africa.”

“For PIDG, it is vital to be close to our projects and partners and having an office in Casablanca will allow us to explore further opportunities and partnerships.” said CEO of PIDG, Philippe Valahu.

The growing Casablanca team is led by InfraCo Africa’s Head of Business Development, Nabil Saimi, who said: “I am delighted that the team here in Casablanca will now have a base from which to work and to share our ideas. We look forward to working with our project partners and with colleagues in Nairobi and London to progress the development of our existing portfolio, and to seek opportunities to realise new infrastructure projects in West and Central Africa.”

By the end of 2020, the company intends to have transitioned all its work from Dakar to Casablanca and for its team at the Casablanca Finance City (CFC) Tower, to be covering Business Development, Asset Management and Operations.
