Prioritising safety and inclusion

We believe that everyone should be able to access and benefit from the infrastructure we finance, and that all voices should be heard and equally consulted. We will champion infrastructure solutions that target isolated, rural communities or under-represented groups to help ensure that no-one is left behind as countries develop and adapt to climate change.

We encourage everyone to share their needs, ideas and concerns as solutions are designed, built and operated. We work with our project partners to ensure that women, girls and other under-represented groups have equal access to infrastructure and jobs within our project supply chains, workforce and management teams.

We also embed leading health, safety, environment and social systems into our projects and investments to protect all those working to construct or deliver inclusive infrastructure. Working proactively alongside communities to identify additional initiatives or changes that could be made to improve their health, surrounding environment and wellbeing or to keep them safe when using or living in proximity to the infrastructure we develop.
